On 23 february YPM received visitors from Valdres- Norway
who had come to see and learn on the implementation of the YPM project that is
partly supported by their school.
The group consists of eighteen students with their teacher
and assistant teacher from Kenya. The team arrived from Kenya where they first
landed from Norway to also take part and learn from the organizations and their
involvement in community work. In Lushoto they were well received by their host
and had a good time to visit different places that they were planned to visit.
These include the Shume VICOBA groups, Kwedeghe where they had time to
intermingle with the locals through sports, staying with families and help in
the daily chore of the household. It was an experience that many have shared to
be very intuitive and educative. It also opened them into the culture exchange,
learning through comparative methodology of what they see and what they live
like back in their places. There was
time to have sports with the Youth of YPM-Volleyball where they got together
also with a team from Haugaland YWCA/YMCA that was visiting YPM. There was also
a day to visit the centers for disabled and spent the day with the kids/pupils.

From this place they will visit Zanzibar and get a time to
reflect but also enjoy the wonderful and attractive beaches of Tanzania.
We are always happy to work and see that our relationship is
growing for the benefit of our communities. We are open and ready to share time
with those who would like to come and learn, see and support our work. Long
live the partnership between Valdres- FH School and YPM.
